Smitten Kitchen’s simple sugar cookie recipe.

2. Combine dry ingredients

3. Cube butter

4. Add butter to dry ingredients

5. Reverse cream butter until mixture is fully incorporated

6. Add egg and vanilla

7. Blend into an even cookie dough

8. Divide dough in half

9. Roll each half of the dough between parchment paper to ~1/4inch

10. Put dough on baking sheet

11. Put baking sheet in freezer

12. Wait 15-20 minutes until dough is solid

13. Heat oven to 350
